I do no longer seem to be able to connect Outlook to the mailserver.
My mail server requires a login name, not an e-mail address. To login to the IMAP server, I need to use name and not name@mailserver.nl.
Is it possible to use a username that is different from the e-mail address, and, if so, how do I configure that?
The e-mail account is used on multiple devices: Outlook on Windows 10, Thunderbird under Linux, Gmail under Android etc. It is, of course, possible to create a new account, with the complete e-mail address as username, but that would mean moving all the mails from one account to the new account and reconfiguring all the other devices that I use. And Windows 11 is not my primary OS.
