I was a bit confused about what the single and 2 qubit noise models were for quantiuum's trapped ion systems. And if they have a dedicated decoder that's not just a look up table or something.

According to the website the H2 device has single-qubit gate fidelity of 99.997% and two qubit gate fidelity of 99.87%.

In general, simulating QEC circuits on ion traps is not so easy as compared to superconducting chips. While you can compile a circuit in Stim to something that can (almost) directly be executed on a superconducting chip, this is not the case for ion traps. You don't know details such as the ion shuttling schedule, which gate zones will be used, and which gates are performed in parallel.

Section IV of Quantum Error-Corrected Computation of Molecular Energies explains how one can perform numerical simulations of a Quantinuum device.

And if they have a dedicated decoder that's not just a look up table or something.

AFAIK they use a look-up table decoder.
