I have the Elegoo Mars 2 (not pro) 3D printer.

I'm trying to print with Blue Cast X5 castable resin, however it keeps failing. I suspect the issue is that the printer setting information from the resin manufacturing site doesn't seem to address all the needed parameters. And some of them seem to make no sense for the printer.

The only settings given from the manufacturer are.:

  • LAYER THICKNESS: 0.05 mm
  • NORMAL EXPOSURE TIME: 12 SEC
  • OFF TIME: 1.5 SEC
  • BOTTOM EXPOSURE TIME: 90 SEC
  • BOTTOM LAYERS OFF TIME: 5 SEC
  • BOTTOM LAYERS: 7
  • Z LIFT DISTANCE: 5 mm
  • SUPPORTS: preset medium
  • MOTOR SPEEDS: 100 µ/SEC

Some of the settings (like the lift speed) actually seem way out of line for the printer (if the motor speed of 100 um/sec is the lift speed, that would be 6 seconds to pull the 3D print off the film.)

I've included images of the current settings I've put in for the Bluecast X5 castable resin. What should be the correct settings for the Elegoo Mars 2?
